Matilda kitty (we have been calling her football cat for
about 2 weeks now) has finally had her 3rd litter of kittens!
she is such a pretty kitty, and her kittens are too!
i have been on webshots for quite a while...
mostly downloading desktop stuff... but i have
a few nice pictures that i have posted here.
enjoy!
bwahahahaha!!!
just gotta love the internet!
in trying to fix a client's HP Pavilion desktop, windows
had to be wiped... and the client did not have the original cds at that time... so i could not get the drivers for the
HP specific hardware... she did finally find the cds and i did a google search for "define .paq" and directed me
to this page:
http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=PAQ
Extension: PAQ
What's This? HP System Recovery File
Specific Notes: Files are A.PAQ, B.PAQ, etc. Use an unzip program to open with the password "pandora" [or "Pandora"
in a second report]
and i was able to fix her machine (without wiping the machine again).
here is a really good picture of Morgan that my sister-in-law took at Foster Falls. Morgan is sooo cute!!! and tired, haha.
a kitty of mine, i mean Matilda, called tilde (~) for short, had kittens about 6 weeks ago... she had two black and white
and one striped and colored like her. a few days ago we found someone wanting about 3-4 cats for their farm. (she
also took a whole litter of puppies from my father-in-law's farm, 5 border collies!) i know that this is better to have
them on a farm rather than where i live, so close to the road. my road has a history of (to quote Stephen King from
"Pet Semetary") "using up pets". but to my heart, i look at Tilde and then at her kittens in the cardboard box, leaving
her(e) forever, i feel like im doing something wrong. so, i am going to let her have another litter of kittens, keep
a kitten from that litter. and have her spayed. below are pictures of momcat and her kittens:
The following is an experience that my wife and i had at a local Krystal resturant... read on...
and by local we mean exatly:
Krystal (KIM001)
106 Highway 72
South Pittsburgh, TN 37380
The young man at the register had on no name tag. This was about 7:30 April 2, 2005. He waited on one customer at a time.
When i say this i mean that he only took one order waited for the food to be fixed then sit their food down and would wait
a couple of minutes before he would take the next he would turn his back fiddle with drink lids or want not. He didn't want
to wait on us, then he took his sweet time, never greeted us except to say what do you want and then sighed when we said we
wanted it for there. the dinning room was a mess. hadn't been swept, garbage was falling out in the floor, tables hadn't been
wiped off none of them, the condiment stand was empty of ketchup, the couple ahead of us told him and instead he just stared
straight ahead. when another couple told him this he said fine he would fill it up we had to go up there and ask again i asked
for extra pickles and didn't get them had to go back up and ask again. They kept having friends visit at the side door where
the drive through person goes out to deliver food. we don't live that far away and this is about the third time that i have
had a bad visit there. i kept hoping that it was just that they where tired. i have worked in the resturant business and am
usually torelable of behaviour like this to a point last night was the worst. the chicken hadn't been cooked all the way through
it tasted funny the dr. pepper had something grainy in it and it tasted nasty i didn't see a shift leader or management person
of any kind . This is a shame if i go back i wont be going back to that krystal and believe me i will warn friends and family
members of this store.the drive through and back line seemed to be having a good time. at least there was laughter. the kid
that waited on us couldn't even smile. Also the resturant i worked at it was a health violation to get the ice out for the
drink without an ice scoop this kid used the cup and his hand raked the top of the ice spreading germs.
and this is what we ordered... not too hard of an order, eh?
Krystal chick combo, Krystal burgers with cheese no onions combo, a side order of chili and a cup of pickles, Dr. Pepper for
one drink and the cherry icee for the other.
oh yes, we did post this exact text at Krystal's corporate website. enjoy!
still life in dr. pepper
i buried capn sparrow a few days ago. he was missing for about 2 weeks, we thought that he had come of age and was going
after a girlfriend (which is possibly the truth, but i'll never get to ask him). my dad saw a black lump under one of the
large bushes in front of our house... and sparrow was there, dead. i buried him next to his brother, d'artagnan and in front
of bobo's spot.
oh why does it hurt so?
heh... looks like tripod is looking at the subject matter being discussed on webpages they host. and placing banner ads up
at the top of the page... more than likely none of the ads above the page have anything to do with either spybot search and
destroy or adaware SE personal edition.
i have little confidence in paid programs when there are FREE adware/spyware removers out there...
adaware has a paid version but there is a free version... free to individuals, not companies...
spybot is freeware... however Patrick M. Kolla, creator and owner of spybot... would appreciate any donations you would
be willing to give him!!!
that having been said... below here are links to their webpages...
Spybot Search and Destroy
Adaware SE Personal Edition
oh... i just want to say this...
GATOR and GAIN NETWORKS = SPYWARE and ADWARE
ALL ROLLED UP INTO ONE BUNDLE
check this out... Gator is suing PC Pitstop over their calling Gator "spyware". Gator is saying that their
product is not "spyware"... the people who download it are notified before they install it... WHO REALLY READS THE
END-USER-LICENSE-AGREEMENT on much any software?!?!? not the average user. or really me for that matter. by saying they
are not spyware is kinda like a human saying "what you see here is actually a giraffe, not a man". or some such
nonsense. there are a few links below this text to the subjects of this rant...
page on PC Pitstop about the Gator stuff...
page about the lawsuit itself on PC Pitstop's site
YAAAAAEE!!!!
i have been hoping for quite a while since Jennifer Diane Reitz finished unicorn jelly that she would pickup another project
and yae!!! she did!!
now, once again, i have a webcomic i can look foward to reading!

6/5/2004: i finally broke down and accepted three new kittens into the family. also pictured is bandit, who came to our family
as a stray and we decided to keep him. the kittens came from my father-in-law's farm from one of his barn cats. they were
so cute... i could not turn them away.

1/30/04 - yet it still hurts. i found her rabies vaccination tag and a whisker. i miss my kitty.
12/23/03. it still hurts to think of Bobo. my wife gave up one of her sweaters to wrap kitty in, to put her
in the grave. as a general rule, i dont deal well with death. just thinking about that white fur of hers, which
she kept immaculate most of the time, getting muddy, dirty, discolored...
12/15/2003. One of the dearest friends i have ever known has passed on today. i knew her from when she was
at least 6 weeks old until today. she was there for me whenever i needed her. she was at times very affectionate
and aloof. of course she was a great cat. she came into my life the summer of 1986. and honestly watching
the "Dog of Flanders" was not the best choice of movies to pick for this night. i truely hope that she did not suffer
at all... she had lost her sight this past week... but she could still find her food, water and litterbox, with no problems.
i buried her in one of her favorite spots outside... where the afternoon sun warms the ground and she could be found pretty
easily, asleep in the sunlight. i could not dig the hole deep enough... so many tree roots. so i put concrete
staves over the site. after the ground has settled some we will plant a few flowers in rememberance.
her name was Bobo, how else could she be named?
now for the latest line of bullshit, "oh i did not mean to hurt anybody" line to get out of consequences... and change
the future of gaming. to quote the webpage linked below:
"They (children) cannot differentiate between fantasy and reality, so they play these games and then think if they do
the same thing in reality, it's OK, there will be no consequences."
Game playing, for me, only accentuates the differences between game and reality. Mebbie i am strange, but when
i play games i attempt acts and actions that would hurt/maim/kill myself and/or others in reality but in a game if you get
killed (Grand Theft Auto, for instance) you come back 12 hours later and minus some cash. THIS IS NOT REALITY.
It all boils down to children trying to get out of responsibility for their own actions in real life.
below is the story i read:
I love JuicyFruit chewing gum. But only the older (non-aspartame)
gum. You see... some people are allergic to aspartame, gives them headaches... me on the otherhand... i get incrediably
tired, listless... so i can only have the older, sugar only, gum.
Curse you Wrigley! Curse you a Hundred Times! I LOVED YOUR PRODUCT! i did not care
how long it lasted... i still bought it by the basket load! new and improved taste me hairy arse! bring back the
sugar only brand... please? please?
well RAV died (or is dying) and i found another fleet... one rather active one. about 35 total members currently
active. click on the above thumbnail for the full-size version of my new tag.
oh yea, click on this link to see the fleet:
and here to go to their webpage:
Sephen (guess pronounced seven) is a pretty recent webcomic with rather good freehand manga style artwork and a good
storyline... (hey, it got my attention after reading the first three comics! heh...) give it a try, you just might
find you like it!
before anybody can say anything to me about this subject... i do not claim any of the artwork that appears on any of these
pages (with the exception of the photos, which were taken by me). i only use link buttons (provided by the authors themselves)
or the title graphic from the website(s) in question, all of which i have copied and stored on my space here in tripod. if
anybody objects to this practice, please contact me and it will be changed. but, please, i do this page only as a means to
show the world what i enjoy and try to share that. thank you for your time!

while i'm on the topic of scumware and its ilk, here is a good website that deals with information on privacy and the
internet... i have read some of the articles on it and recommend it to everybody who has concerns about such topics!
think on this... you purchase a new 2.0 ghz machine and when you first get it, it is really fast! and
over the weeks (months) it seems to get slower and slower... more than likely it is not your imagination... but it is spyware,
adware and assorted other crap software downloaded (and installed) with very little notice to you, the owner/user of the machine.
often enough, there is little or no real way to remove this crapware. so, do you put up with the slow performance of
your new machine? dont do that, go to the link above and download AdAware, a complete freeware (to
individuals, companies must pay to use this software on their machines) spyware removal tool. i have used this software
on a variety of machines and it has brought them back to a normal performance... where before the only solution was to scrape
windows off the harddrive and install it once again (which you tend to lose stuff, no matter how well you back up. just
sucks.)

i applied for and was accepted into the Fleet... [RAV]
also known as: Rebel Alliance of Vagaroth.
we are rebels, we do not need old Earth corporations with profit
as their main objective telling us at the periphery of human controlled
space what to do. we will fight back. we will win.
[RAV] also has a website here:

This is such a neat site... good story and great animation
hope this works ok... dunno if tripod supports such stuff as this... a webcam that updates every 40 seconds or so...
rexi-cam!
DarkSpace |
|
hey there, dropped E&B when i found out that you would have to purchase the
$49.95 retail box to play the game... even after beta testing it for them...
anyways... DarkSpace is a download and 10 a month, or if you want to wait for the reail version and
whatever price is charged there...
DS is really fun skill based ship to ship and ship to planet based warfare. go to the page linked
to the above graphic and check it out... you can download the client and register for 7 days of free play to give it a try!
something i find myself playing (while they have the servers up that is) is the Earth and Beyond closed beta (you have
to sign up, and are picked from a lotto of thousands of other want-to-be players, or pre-order the game). lots of fun...
just sometimes the lag comes at bad times and gets you killed, but that happens with any online game. lots of the visuals
from the game looks like it came straight from NASA photos... it is so beautiful, prospecting asteroids while floating several
hundred kilometers above saturn's rings...
click on the graphic below to read an article about EnB and see some screenshots:

emotional sometimes heartwrenching furries |
to read more about Maus). that i have ever read. most comics i read to escape reality for a little while.
this one brings reality back into focus, albeit with furries and a religious slant that some might not like or agree with
at all.
skidrow! nice artwork |
|
hmmm... i like the artwork of skidrow but need to read more of the story... might just become one of my must-read comics...
Gene Catlow |
|
oh come on! you wanna go here and read about Gene, a computer tech (and works on other equipment too!) who happens
to live in an anthrophormhic city, Furriston! the comic can be quite funny, but has a serious bend to it as well...
those of you who have no willingness to look outside the borders of normal stuff need not click on the link above.
those who have that willingness will find a rather... different... comic. i like it and i hope you will too.
